Experienced Litigation Paralegal (Civil Litigation, Employment & Class Actions)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 (DOE)
Are you an experienced paralegal with a strong background in civil litigation? Do you have expertise in employment law, wage and hour class actions, or PAGA claims? We're looking for a highly skilled litigation paralegal to join a prestigious San Francisco-based firm, supporting complex legal cases in the areas of civil and employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in all stages of litigation, including trial preparation, discovery, and motions.
Manage multiple litigation cases and provide trial support for attorneys.
Conduct legal research and ensure all litigation documents are accurately prepared, filed, and organized.
Review and manage case documentation, motions, discovery responses, and evidence in compliance with court rules and procedures.
Provide excellent communication support to clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in the litigation process, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Collaborate with various teams, clients, and experts while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
Navigate complex legal databases and document management systems to organize and track litigation materials.
Proactively handle day-to-day litigation tasks to ensure seamless case management and successful case outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
At least 3 years of recent experience in civil litigation, particularly in employment law, wage and hour class actions, or PAGA claims.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and OneDrive, with excellent web navigation skills.
Strong ability to organize and manage complex data, including multiple databases, while ensuring all litigation documents are up to date and accessible.
Experience in trial preparation and providing trial support for litigation matters.
In-depth knowledge of litigation motions, discovery procedures, evidence handling, and court rules and practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, witnesses, and internal teams in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work independently, think critically, and make smart decisions under pressure.
Educational & Certification Requirements:
ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent certification.
A minimum of 1,500 annual billable hours is required for this role, with experience in insurance defense billing preferred.
